Name: Boo Velka Receptor Arba, aka Master Boo
Canon: Psychic Academy
OU/AU/OC: OU
Canon Point: Postcanon.
History: Psychic Academy takes place in an alternate Earth, where psychic powers known as "auras" are becoming increasingly prevalent in society. Though Boo claims to have served under Nobunaga, his first appearance in the series is in a rabbit hutch in the eponymous Psychic Academy, a school for aura users, where he singles out protagonist Ai Shiomi as an aura user of extreme potential. Master Boo immediately and forcibly takes the young boy under his wing, to the shock and horror of all, and begins teaching him about the aura world, techniques, and abilities.
Throughout the series, his role is mentor and adviser -- only in rare situations does he take an active role in protecting or defending Ai, despite his power. While Ai goes through a number of harrowing events, Boo serves mainly as a commenter and source of advice and training. Over time, Boo gradually becomes separated from his disciple, until at the end, Ai becomes a true aura master and travels on to his destiny without Boo.
Personality: Boo is a bizarre mixture of Obi-Won, Mushu, and a ludicrous caricature of a pimp. Despite being a rabbit, Boo is very well-versed in the theory and practice of aura powers, and incredibly eager to share them with the right pupil. Once he identifies Ai as a kid with potential, he locks onto the boy in a veritable deathgrip -- moving in with him, going everywhere with him, and pushing Ai to train hard and succeed at unleashing the power Boo knows he has. Interestingly, Boo never gives a reason for his behavior, but considering his father serves as the master of Psychic Academy's principal, one suspects it's in the blood. Boo seems to have been looking for a pupil for some time, and ultimately, his motivation for teaching Ai seems to be pure interest in polishing an uncut gem, as it were.
On first glance, Boo is... ah, rough, himself. He talks tough and profanely, liberally using bizarre and colorful metaphors in his speech. He's blunt and painfully direct, repeatedly taking a perverse interest in Ai's progress with his girlfriend. He even goes so far as to teach Ai how to read aura to pick up chicks (and promptly picks up a few himself). When directly queried about why he keeps going after human girls, his fairly direct response is "Species schmesies!"
Boo is a fairly kind soul, deep down; despite his rough demeanor, he cares about Ai's friends and very particularly about Ai, outside of even his aura advancement, taking pride in Ai's successes and showing serious concern when Ai is in danger. He wants Ai to gain confidence, gain technique, and succeed, and Boo will get him there through lessons, chastisement, and praise according to what he's earned.
Despite this, he has his terrifying side. When he first appeared on Ai's shoulder, his classmates collectively crapped themselves in terror; according to them, Boo was directly responsible for the school losing over 100 rabbits. "That psychotic monster is just sitting on his shoulder, ready to kill at any second!" His reputation might be a bit more dramatic than he deserves, but Boo does have his serious and deadly side, when the chips are down and he needs to interfere.
Strengths: Aura master. His aura eminence is crystal, meaning he can create crystals and control their movements. He has numerous advanced techniques in this area, and such precise control that he can cut the clothes entirely off of someone without leaving a scratch on their skin. (Auras are classified as soft energy, however, meaning that if Boo attacks someone, their aura will take damage before their body does, and only when their aura is depleted will they take physical harm.)
Boo is also proficient in multiple common psychic techniques, such as aura sensing, teleportation ('jumping'), and defense. He is also telepathic, although in canon not all people can hear him.
Weaknesses: Boo is a rabbit, which, aside from physiology and social status, means he cannot access certain aspects common to human aura users such as the paradream, a single dream common to all human aura users. He has a bit of a temper and is prone to comedic violence.

Probably the strangest sight at the cafe today was the bunny sipping a wheatgrass smoothie, reading the latest issue of Hoovesweek, and broacasting his thoughts wide-spectrum.
Now dat's the stuff! Gossip an' rumors! Illicit affairs an' kidnappin'! Dese ponies live like Bohemians! He slapped the magazine with a paw for emphasis. Don't get why there's nothin' on the princess-types, though. Holed up in'a library? At least tell me what stallions're goin' in to play stuff-the-card-catalogue!
Abandoning his magazine, Boo turned away from the cafe to float down the main road, keeping a close eye out on the mares nearby. The best part of being an aura master was seeing all cards before he made his bet. Looking for a nice yellow aura...
Bingo. Boo dropped down out of the air, then hopped up to the poor unsuspecting mare he'd targeted like a perfectly innocent and absolutely cute bunny.
Give him some sugar, baby.
